16LANDY was conceived as a Net Zero ready building utilizing low embodied carbon materials, the new 2 storey dwelling will be constructed out of CLT (cross laminated timber) and will be targeting Passivehouse Certification consuming as much as 90% less energy than a conventional dwelling. CLT will be its primary structural material to minimize time on site and disruptions caused by construction. Its use as a internal finish evoking a sense of joy and a biophilic approach to materiality and accommodation.We see this project as a return to the kind of spaces we can truly value and enjoy; understated, well-built and measurably sustainable.
